Dental Care During Covid-19
As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic we have implemented numerous safeguards to ensure the safe treatment of our patients based on RI Department of Health, Center for Disease Control, and American Dental Association guidelines. All patients are screened using a checklist form prior to entering the office and treatment areas. The required questions are asked and a temperature is taken upon arrival. Each form is kept for documentation and contact tracing if ever necessary. The treatment operatories have been outfitted with air filtration units that use four separate filters to maintain clean air throughout the day. Each operatory is strictly cleaned before and after each use and all instruments are heat and pressure sterilized after each use. The doctor , hygienists and assistants are using surgical masks, protective eyewear and face shields and wearing protective clothing. Patients are given protective eyewear while sitting for appointments. We are able to maintain social distancing by having patients enter and exit the office by using three different entrances. The office staff and doctor wish to inform our patients that we are confident we are providing safe dental care.
